November Event - Springhill Golf Course

Keith Action Jr. shot a final round 70.7 to claim his 2nd PCGA Event at Springhill Golf Course Saturday. Action Jr, along with Trey Atkins, were the only players to break par for the day. Atkins carded a 71.9 for 2nd, Kipp Bedford shot 72.3, finished 3rd and Bob Hudson finished 4th with a 72.4 net.

Bedford took the lead on the points race with one event left at 513. Van McInnis dropped to 2nd with 475, Kevin Phillips stayed in 3rd..., with 461. Keith Action Jr. is 4th with 458, and Denny Mecsko climbed back into the top 5 with 413. 382. I will post possible scenario's later in the week.

Atkins recorded his 2nd - 2nd place finish. Congrats. Remember, Nobody remembers who finishes 2nd but the guy that finishes 2nd!

Brian Ivey hit it close on the front nine to claim the cash, $20 that is. Keith Action hit close on the back nine to claim the 8 valuable race points. Tom Emmons still leads the race for the most closest with 3. Ferritto and Walsh are only 1 back.

Money Title is still wide open. Ivey and Action Jr lead with $150. McInnis is 3rd with $130. Kevin Phillips 4th with $110 and Frank Liley and Matt Waters are tied for 5th with $100 each. With the last tournament a major, money is double so still a lot can change.

Bedford was the low man of the day with a 80. Springhill defenses were up. The greens keeper must have gotten a speeding ticket on the way to work today. Some of the pin placements were almost impossible to play from above the hole. We here love the fast greens. This is what makes this course a favorite on the PCGA.

Next up, the PCGA returns to Timber Creek Golf Course for the last tournament of the 2014 PCGA season. Double points and double money are at stake. The PCGA Championship is the tournament, the last Major of the year. How will it all unfold.
