September Event - Crossings, Magnolia Grove

Brian Ivey shot a final round 64.5 to claim his 1st PCGA Event at Magnolia Grove Golf Course, Crossings, Saturday.  Ivey, along with only 7 other golfers broke par for the day.   Ron Walsh carded a 67 for 2nd, Van McInnis shot 67.5, finished 3rd and Bob Hudson finished 4th with a 69.7 net.

McInnis maintain his lead on the points race, 411, with a solid 3rd place finish.  Kipp Bedford moved into 2nd with 375, Kevin Phillips dropped to 3rd, with 365.  Denny Mecsko, 358, and Cary Phillips, 347, round out the top 5.  Only 3 events left with 1 major.  Still too close to call.  A lot can change in the next 3 months.

Walsh recorded his 4th 2nd place finish.  Congrats.  Tied for 2nd in that category.

Patrick McKenna hit it close on the front nine to claim the cash, $20 that is.  Walsh hit it close on the back nine to claim the 8 valuable race points.  Tom Emmons still leads the race for the most closest with 3.  Ferritto is only 1 back.

Money Title?  I guess we can mention it.  McInnis and Ivey are tied at the top with $130.  Kevin Phillips, $110, Keith Action Jr., Frank Liley and Matt Waters, round out the top 6 with $100 each.

Walsh was the low man of the day with a 77.    Ivey and McInnis both shot 79.  That gives the PCGA 3 more golfers in the Mr.79 or better club!!!!  6 total.  Finally getting warm?

Next up for the PCGA

The PCGA returns to Craft Farms for the month of October. Last year, we played both Cypress Bend and Cotton Creek.  Looking forward to a great golf course.
